And So I'm Off

11:14 pm

I started the day expecting to have a smooth day traveling, but life wouldn't be life unless things go wrong. When my connecting flight got delayed by an hour, I realized that I was probably going to miss my flight to Chile (which I did). I could complain about the fact that the airline didn't compute time for refueling or how they are keeping my luggage for an entire day, but rather I see it as a blessing in disguise.

I was so anxious and excited to get to Chile and I believe that this little setback is giving me a chance to calm down and clear my mind (not to mention, I'm calming down in my hotel room and have free food). Even during the flight, as I watched a few episodes of Glee and a Sam Smith concert, I got nothing but positive vibes. On top of that, I was able to pick up Toni Morrison's relatively new novel God Help the Child at the airport and can't wait to start reading it.

Miami, for obvious reasons, is also the perfect place to practice speaking Spanish before I hit the main wave. So as of right now, no puedo quejarse.
